Our Vision

Gospel of Peace Church, has been called to be a multi-cultural family of believers who are equipped to take God’s Word and healing love to the World. We are accomplishing this through a God-given Vision that is made up of 12 Principles for our Church.

Habbakkuk 2:2-3 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

1. A CHURCH THAT EMPHASIZES GOD’S WORD

We believe that God’s Word is the first key to true success in life (Joshua 1:8). Our desire is to help each person become equipped with the principles of victory and success in God’s Word. God’s Word is the Foundation of our Church and our Outreach Ministries. The Word of God says; In Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” And says In Isiah 55:11 “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” God’s Word is the most powerful force in existence; His Word has the power to change lives for the better, heal, deliver, give wisdom, favor, wealth and give all we need to have Life and have it more Abundantly (John 10:10). With God’s Word as the Solid Rock upon which we do all that we do; God’s Blessings will continue to Flow like milk and honey (Deuteronomy 6:10-11).

2. A CHURCH EMPOWERED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the present day ministry of the Holy Spirit. Our desire is to help each person become equipped with the life changing, miracle-working power of the Holy Spirit.

3. A CHURCH OF WORSHIP AND PRAYER

Worship and Prayer are vital to intimacy with God. Our desire is to help each person have a heart for God, and learn how to exercise His dominion through worship and prayer. Praise and Worship is us Honoring God for all His Goodness, Love and Mercy that He has so richly given to us all. Praise brings us into the Presence of God and Prayer is us making our requests known to God, these two go together and must come from a Thankful Heart; this causes the Blessings of God to be released. Worship and Prayer is not just what we do at Church on Sundays and Wednesdays, this is our Way of Life: Psalm 34:1 “I will Bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in our mouth.” Psalm 100:4 “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” Philippians 4:6-7 “…in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God…”

4. A CHURCH WITH A FAMILY FOCUS

Our desire is to help each person   (whether they are single, married, divorced, or widowed) find safe harbor in God’s family, and come to understand His plan and order for the home.

5. A CHURCH THAT MAKES DISCIPLES

Christians are “born” – disciples are “made.” Our desire is to train each person (children, teens, singles, and adults) to use their faith for Christian character, service, and daily victory as they learn to abide in Christ.

6. A CHURCH THAT PRODUCES LEADERS

We believe that God has called all Christians to leadership in some form. Our desire is to help each person learn the principles of servant-leadership so that they can find and fulfill God’s plan for their life.

7. A CHURCH THAT REACHES THE WORLD

Our desire is to help fulfill the Great Commission through every means possible, with the message of total salvation and victory through Jesus Christ!

8. A CHURCH THAT TEACHES SOUND AND BALANCED DOCTRINE

The doctrine or teaching of a Church is critical because in order to produce Spiritually Strong and Mature Believers the doctrine must be soundly based on the Word of God, the Holy Bible and it must be balanced.  Titus 2:11 “But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine.”   Proverbs 16:11 “A just weight and balance are the LORD’S.”

9. A CHURCH THAT IS ON FIRE FOR JESUS

Jesus wants His Church to be Hot, on Fire for Him and not lukewarm (Revelation 3:15-16). Jesus wants His Bride, the Church, to be passionate about Him that is why he says in Revelation 2:4 “Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love”.  Our hearts desire it keep our fire burning because the fire of God is evidence of the Presence of The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the power of God, which supplies the oil for our Lamps. (Matthew 24:4).

10. A CHURCH THAT PUTS RELATIONSHIP AHEAD OF RELIGION

Those serving Religion go through the motions of serving but forgets to focus their hearts on our Savior, Jesus Christ. Those serving in Relationship focuses their heart on the presence of Jesus. Luke 10:41-42 “Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her”. The one thing that Jesus was speaking of was an Intimate and Personal Relationship with Him, to seek His Presence.

11. A CHURCH THAT PRODUCES GOOD FRUIT

God is looking for His People to be Fruitful and to bear good Fruit (John 15:2). Matthew 12:33 “Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.”  Our Fruit tells our story for us because Fruit shows who our roots are connect to; lips can lie but Fruit don’t lie. The Good Fruit we produce in our lives comes from being connected to Jesus. Jesus said John 15:4 “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”

12. A CHURCH WITH A PASSION FOR LOVING GOD AND LOVING PEOPLE

Love is not all we need, we need Faith and Hope as well, but Love is the main ingredient needed to be more Like Jesus, for God is Love (1 John 4: 7-9, 1 Corinthians 13:13). The greatest of all the commands is to Love God and the second greatest is to Love People (Matthew 22:38-39). Jesus said in John 14:15 “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” If we love God we will honor Him and obey His Word. If we love People we will honor people and do them good, not evil. The great thing about living this way is that the Good we do will come back to our lives multiplied and overflowing, then we’ll be living the Abundant Life that Jesus promised (John 10:10). Jesus said in Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.”

God’s Vision for every area of our lives is always Exceedingly and Abundantly above our own (Ephesians 3:20), He just needs us to let Him lead us to the Blessings. He is our Good Shepherd.

Psalm 23: 1-2 “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures…”

God supplies the Vision and it is our responsibility to Receive it, Write it, Wait on it, Run with it and Work it! At Gospel of Peace Church we understand that when God gives the vision, He will also send every person and supply every need in order for the Vision to be fulfilled and maintained. What God ordains, He will maintain! We appreciate all the people that God has used to partner with us and work with us to bring this God given Vision to pass and keep It moving forward. The success of Our Vision is a continuing process and the best is yet to come.
Thank you Jesus!
