Marriage + Unity = Success

Marriage + Unity = Success is the name of the Marriage Ministry at Gospel of Peace Church. It is most everyone’s desire to have a successful marriage but many couples lack the knowledge needed to help make a Marriage become Strong & Successful.

The Bible teaches us the power of people being in agreement, which is Unity, in Amos 3:3 The Word of God says “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” A Good and Pleasant Marriage, comes through unity; in Psalms 133:1 teaches “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in Unity!” The opposite of unity is division and the Bible teaches us in Mark 3:25: “if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand”. Satan is the one who brings division into Marriages, God brings Unity, 1 Corinthians 14:33 says “God is not the author of confusion”’.

Marriages are under great attack in our modern-World today and the divorce rates are at an all-time high. This is because most do not understand that Marriage was and is instituted by God only, not man, and since God created the institution of Marriage we need Him to; define it, join it together, maintain it, strengthen it, and keep it together. In order to have a successful Marriage a person must be prepared for Marriage; this is why Marriage-Prep is a lifelong continuing education because people do change at times and adjustments are needed so that when the Seasons of the Marriage Change, the Core of the Marriage stays the same and the Core is Jesus Christ, the Word of God. A Successful Marriage must be founded on the Word of God, Jesus Christ. The Word of God teaches Men how to be Husbands and teaches Women how to be Wives; The Word also teaches Parents how to raise Children and teaches Children how to honor their Parents. Jesus is the only One who can bring Unity into the Marriage, we are One in Christ, but we must allow Jesus to do what only He can do, only then can we all experience Marriage + Unity = Success.
